WERAP Inductives calculates, develops, produces and optimises inductors of all kinds – including valve coils, air and baked varnish coils, electronic chokes, transformers, converters and special solutions. Our portfolio currently includes over 2500 customised solutions in the fields of measurement technology, drive technology, control technology and transmission technology.
We offer both prototype construction and mass production (pilot series to series production) for the manufacture of your winding goods. Our machine park includes modern semi-automatic and fully automatic winding machines, as well as multi-spindle machines, ring winding machines and various manual workstations for customised products. The special ability to act particularly quickly and flexibly reflects our need for maximum customer proximity and customer benefit. Our goal is to be one of the leading EMS providers in Europe and to surpass expectations with unique, innovative technologies and first-class services. We rely on strong partnerships with our customers and suppliers throughout the entire ecosystem.
Technologies
There are a variety of technologies and manufacturing methods for inductors that are tailored to specific requirements and applications. Here we present some of the methods used at WERAP.
Services
The winding of toroidal cores is a method in which wire is wound around a ring-shaped core. Ring winding is a demanding technique that requires specialised production equipment and experienced employees. It is used, for example, to produce transformer windings, filter inductors, storage chokes, converters, current transformers and other electronic components. High precision and care are crucial here to ensure the quality and performance of the end product. Our production resources and expertise enable us to push the limits of what is feasible in terms of parameters.

Air coils generally have no magnetic core material and are usually wound on non-magnetic cores. Baked varnish coils, on the other hand, are inherently stable. A specially coated wire is used that is baked during or after winding. This method is used for sensor coils, antenna coils and air coils, for example. Baked varnish coils are often used where a compact design is required. WERAP Inductives has many years of experience in this technology.

With conventional winding goods, a coil former is wound axially (linearly) and then a magnetic core material is assembled (layering individual sheets, joining ferrite core halves). The actual winding process is relatively simple and is partially fully automated. Final assembly, on the other hand, is carried out by hand and requires a high degree of skill and care.
Quality
It is incredibly important to us to maintain high quality standards at all times and in all production processes. Only this strictly practised consistency ensures greater trust and success. Our certifications confirm that WERAP fulfils all standards and quality requirements one hundred percent – for the sake of quality, safety and the environment. We produce economically and carry out continuous optimisation in production, material procurement, engineering and logistics. We also ensure that the quality and ecological standards of our suppliers and partners meet our requirements.
